Chloe's "Impromtu" Birthday Party

Well, our plans for this weekend changed slightly, as Joel's parents couldn't make it out to celebrate Chloe's birthday. Our Bible Study group was coming over on Sunday night for a wiener roast (that ended up being rained out) so I decided that I'd make the cupcakes and our friends could help us celebrate Chloe turning 2!The idea for the cupcakes is on the Kraft website. "Bears on the Beach".

Chloe tried so hard to blow the noisemaker!
"Happy Birthday dear Chloe!" She was so tired by this point :) as you can see! She didn't know what to do with the candles, so me and Joel Reimer helped her blow them out.
Shovin' the mouth full of cupcake! Oh yeah!!!

I'm glad our friends could be here to celebrate with us. Living so far away from family, we have made friends that seem like family, and that means so much. I'm sure our family and friends in BC (and other places) would have loved to be here, too, and you were missed! maybe one day...

Community Day!

On Saturday, Caronport had their first annual community day! It started off with a parade (yes, our tiny town had a parade) and then there were booths set up, and push car races, and live entertainment (local, of course) and a bbq for lunch! What a day! We could only stay for some of it, as there was lots to be done in the yard and it was first warm sunny day we've had in awhile. The Caronport Fire Department was in the parade squirting water at all the people watching...
The token fire dog :) She's actually a chocolate dalmatian, not a black one, and she's not even really a fire dog, but her owner is one of the firemen, so it was cute!
The girls went and grabbed the candy as it was thrown out.
Chloe and Karissa waiting for the parade to start.

Spring has sprung (so we think...)

Hello again! Yes, I know, it's been awhile... we just hadn't really taken many pictures, so there was not a lot to post! But here's the latest!Joel got the bobcat one weekend to pull out a stump in our yard, so Chloe got to ride with him! She had a blast! She got kind of scared when he started to ram the stump, though, so I took her out - and then she just cried for Daddy the whole time we were watching!!
Two-fisted eater... not sure how she ended up with a fork and a spoon, but she handled it pretty well! Too funny :)
Blowing bubbles in the backyard! So fun!

Reading books on the rocking chair - so cute!
Chloe wasn't quite sure what to do with the hamburger - first one of the season! I just cut her burger into quarters and assumed she'd copy us, but no, she has to do things the hard way! What a kid...
