long winter days...and LOTS of snow!

After we took Chloe's new carseat out of the box, Karissa and I constructed a little playhouse for her! It's not too fancy, cuz we don't really have paints, but she still has fun going in and out of the door and peeking through the window! It's provided a bit of entertainment for these long days that have to be spent indoors because of the cold weather.

Joel surprised me on his way home from school on my birthday! A dozen white roses! They are absolutely beautiful - and still blooming strong!
The pictures totally don't do justice to the amount of snow we got yesterday. Joel figures that he was outside for about 3 hours total shovelling the driveway. In the morning we had a huge blizzard and got the biggest dump of snow. It's the most we've seen since we've been here. Crazy!
This is our back walk - I think the snow is at least 2 feet deep in the backyard.
It's like walking in a tunnel when you walk out the front door. The snow piles are huge! I would probably lose Karissa if I threw her in! When is spring coming again?

Time flies when you're having fun...

Chloe is so excited to be getting around now. She's already pulling herself up onto things, but not quite standing yet. She's a quick learner, though!
Karissa pulled Joel's gloves out of the closet one day and put them on. Too funny!
All wrapped up in her blanket. That's where rolling gets ya!
Having fun with her "whipped-cream art". She loved that kind of finger paint! She kept pointing to the can and saying "more". hmmm...wonder why?

We've been trying to keep busy in our 30 below weather - when is spring coming? This last week everyone in our house managed to be sick... but we're all on the mend! Joel is almost done school - only 2 weeks left! We are very excited about that! We'll keep you posted!
