Karissa has something to say!

Can you read it okay? Yup, it's true! Karissa will be a big sister! Hard to believe? It was for us, too.... still is, actually! We are very excited, though - hopefully Karissa will be when the new baby comes in May. She'll not quite be a year and a half, so we will have our hands full to say the least! In case you are wondering, no we were not trying and yes it was a surprise! A BIG one!! But a good one...

A visit from Oma and Opa

Look at me walkin'! Karissa has been practicing walking holding
on to anyone's hands who will help! She's getting pretty good :)
"Me and Oma" Karissa has Daddy's hat on and is as cute as can
be in Oma's arms!

Yup! I'm crawling! Karissa just started crawling not too long ago - she finally figured it out! She's still a little wobbly, but getting there!

Karissa with Oma and Opa just before bed. The picture's kind of dark but we can't get Karissa to stop blinking when we take a picture with flash!

It was a really good visit with Joel's parents on the weekend. They spoiled us and Karissa rotten - as grandparents are "supposed to" I guess! We had a lot of fun together, even though the men beat us at Kanasta. We'll get you back!

If you can help me, that'd be great!

Hi again! I will put a real post on soon - with pics and everything - but for right now, I have messed up the link thing somehow and need your help! For some reason, when anyone clicks on a link, the yahoo mail site pops up instead! Jen and Alexa have been trying to help me, but I can't seem to get it to work! If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it! (sorry to those of you who want to link!)

Ah, the sound of Canada Geese...

Winter is definitely on its way... yesterday as I walked outside I could hear nothing but honking. I looked up and Canada Geese filled the skies in their V shapes heading south... It's the most amazing sight, really. I wish I could have got a picture - but they didn't really turn out.
We just had a wonderful trip to Calgary, where my sister and her family lives. We celebrated Thanksgiving there with the whole family! My parents and brother and his wife made the trip out from BC as well, so we were all together. It was really great. The weather was beautiful the whole weekend so we were able to be outside a lot of the time. It was still cool, but really nice.
Of course, the camera was left on the bed at home - typical Mel style! Hopefully I'll get some pics soon from family... We did come home, though, and there was a beautiful pot of flowers on our table! Thanks to our lovely tennants :)

This picture was taken awhile ago at a baby shower Karissa and I attended. It was at the daycare I used to work at in Moose Jaw. It's just too cute! The chair is actually a little recliner!

Always take a camera!

Hi all!

Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me to take a picture, but I had to share the experience, because this would only happen in the praries! As I was driving on the highway into Moose Jaw yesterday afternoon, I had to slow down because there were some cattle being herded across the road by 2 men on horses and an ATV! Yes, it's true... What a sight! I had to let you all know... enjoy your day!
