More fun in BC

Well, this is the last of three posts, so if you want to see the rest, be sure to look further down on the page! Anyway, we had a lot of fun in BC, and I know it's all backwards, but I'm not talented enough to think about how it would make sense to do all the right way so it makes more sense to you! (that and it's getting late...) But here's some more pics of our trip!We stopped at a rest area in Brooks that the kids didn't want to leave! It was a great place to eat lunch, but it had just rained the night before so the mosquitos were so bad!
I wanted a picture of James and Lesley with all the nieces... James and Les will now be gone for 2 years to Thailand to teach at an international school - things will have changed a lot by the time we see them again!
We took the girls to see great - Oma at Worthington, and Aunty Ann was there too! What a great surprise! Oma loved seeing the girls, as did all the people in the home that saw them :)
We got to take a dip in the pool at the place where Joel's parents have their trailer parked. It felt so good to swim when it was so hot outside!
This pic should have been at the end, but oh well! Karissa was so exhausted from Dinotown but really wanted a snack. She's practically sleeping in this picture, but trying so hard to eat!
Karissa decided it would be fun to get in the wheelbarrow, and then Chloe came along and tried to push her in it!
Chloe and Grandpa on the train...

What a cute bunch of girls!
At the gate to get in...

To those of you I did not get to see while I was in Abbotsford, I am sorry! The camping trip was kind of right in the middle, and so I was only in Abby for a short time... I don't know when we will be there again, but when we are, I will be sure to visit more!!!

p.s. don't forget to check out the next 2 posts for more BC fun!

Family Camping Trip - 2009

This year our annual camping trip was in Manning Park, BC. What a great trip it was! We had great weather, minus the thunderstorms on one day, but despite that, we had a ton of fun together! We did miss Joel, however...
Bonding time for James and Chloe :)
Karissa wanted to be like the big girls and walk on the logs, but always needed a helping hand!
Canoeing with the girls and Uncle James (who was behind the camera).
The campsite. James and Dad went out early in the morning on Tuesday to get the site. They managed to get a double site so we could all camp together!
Grandpa and I took the girls on a canoe ride, as well.
Taking a break on the trail around Lightening Lake.
This is how the water fight started. Grandpa and Chloe and Karissa were all splashing in the water, and the Karissa got Grandpa's shirt and shorts wet - then she went to get a bucket!
With the coaxing of Uncle James, Karissa went to get Uncle Scott wet too!
Roasting marshmallows with Grandpa! What a great pic!

This was a fantastic trip! We had a lot of fun together, it was sad to see it end, although by the end we were all wet anyway - so we were ready to get home and get dried out!

Christine's visit

Well, I guess this is the last post, but should have been the first! To start our holiday, we had a visit from Christine! She flew out so she could spend time with us, and then drive back with me and the girls to BC. What a great friend! The weather was really blah while she was here, but we tried to have fun nonetheless! The last day before we took the trek to BC we decided it would be fun to take the trolley through Moose Jaw and get a "history lesson". Unfortunately, the trolley never started, so we didn't get to go, but we got some good pics, anyway!

We went to Crescent Park (of course) and had a fun walk with the girls around the water.
This was at the rest area in Field. (Is that AB or BC?)
The first day we travelled from Caronport to Calgary and stayed with my sister. We took the kids to the park down the street and they got to play around for awhile and get tired out before bed!
The world's largest Teepee! (In Medicine Hat)
The girls were shouting "hello!" down the gopher hole. He had popped his head out a couple of times and they wanted to see him again!

It was a good trip - the girls were troopers (and so was Christine!). We were definitely glad to be back at home, though - where we didn't have to wake up and look forward to another drive!
