Hoar frost

Does anyone know why it's called Hoar Frost? Kind of a weird name for such a beautiful thing... this is a tree in our front yard last Sunday after the frost. It doesn't nearly do justice to how things looked outside. I was running a little late, though, and wanted to make it to church on time!

Our little thrill seeker :)

Karissa loves to sled! Joel discovered that pushing her around in the lid of her toy box can be a lot of fun! She loves to go fast... We have a feeling that she's going to love carnival rides!

Well, not much has been happening since Joel left for BC. I've been focussing on keeping Karissa happy (which is sometimes hard, cuz she misses her daddy). After my exam on Monday I'm home free and I'll be there on Tuesday afternoon! I'm so excited!!!! Pray that Karissa will be okay during the flight though, and that she won't get bored and cranky. Considering I'll be alone, it might be a challenge! See you all soon!!!!!

Anyone for a sleigh ride?

Well, I guess it's not really a sleigh, but a sled, anyway! Friends of our found this cool sled for free! (thanks Justin and Bethany!) Karissa absolutely loved being pulled around in the sled around town - we couldn't go very far, cuz it got really cold! Hopefully we'll be able to go out again soon, when the weather is a little warmer!
